Well it's a distance exam. Basically paper is released on set time on a day and you need to submit it within 24 hr. It includes proper comparative financial analysis of a given company and couple of more analyzing questions based on investment etc. It may sound easy as one can do it while at home but this was the toughest one I ever encountered. The most productive 24 hours i ever had..lol

I think my longest undergraduate exam, back in 1992, was 4 hours long and that felt like a marathon.

The toughest exams I had to take were the written PhD qualifying exams. 3 exams, 4 hours each, spread over 3 days. That's still only 12 hours total.
That must have been one hard exam!

I've just seen Microsoft release new firmware for the Surface 2 Pro.
Reading the release notes - once again they have fixed issues with power management and resume from suspend.
Hopefully this time they will have sorted out all the weird crashes I've had to put up with.
It's probably our last change, with the 3 being announced recently.

I see it sometimes with my Surface Pro 2 as well.
Manufacturers cannot seem to get power management right. I have issues with a Dell laptop too. I don't hibernate it, because it returns with the screen looking like it's interlaced on acid (it slowly works its way back to normal after a few hours). I've also talked to other people with different brands that have problems with sleep and hibernate.

In years past, it's been easy to blame the disconnect between hardware manufactures and Microsoft for power management and other low level hardware issues. Surface is a Microsoft hardware product. (I have no idea how much hey have outsourced it).
Given that one of Apples competitive strengths is complete ownership and optimisation of the hardware/software stack, and that Microsoft entered this hardware space (partly) for this reason, one has to wonder why Surface has so many problems in this area.
It makes me think that all the historical problems have been much more software than hardware.

The Pro 2 is supported April 2018[^]. I was still getting firmware updates for my original (Gen 1) Pro as of earlier this year, and (in this case) it'll continue being supported until July 2017[^].

Finally we can now use LaTeX in articles[^], questions etc. This would have saved me many hours and hopefully will in the future. I can now write:

I recall seeing a comic strip where there is a small line of code on screen but programmer is thinking a lot of workflow ahead. Then someone comes in and disturbs so he forgets the logic. Anyone knows a link to it? I guess it was Reddit or XKCD.
