Was watching the France game last night.....Does anyone know when they added the Red and Blue bits to their flag?

I think it was only adopted as the national flag in 1789, wasn't it? It was the flag of the revolutionary movement before that, but that doesn't make it the national flag – for example look at Libya, the new flag was being flown from rebel strongholds for some months but it wasn't adopted as the national flag until they took power.

No. I think he meant like the French army surrendering without warning leaving the British army surrounded at Dunkirk along with a few Frenchmen who didn't get the memo.
[Edit: Actually it was the Belgians that surrendered first. The French didn't surrender until a few days later while the evacuation was still ongoing.]

I recently starting doing French lessons with my daughter. I wanted a french to english sort of passive listening, but I can't find any that I like. I can find all french, but that's not what I'm looking for. I'd like to find some audio learning type of thing that says words/phrases in one language and then the other.
Anyone know of anything like this?

We are using a program for learning at home together. I was looking for audio I can use as well. Can't really do passive listening on a dictionary.
