Any CPians at DevWeek this week?
Nope, but Beth & I will be at the ACCU Conference[^] in Bristol on 21st-25th April next month.

It'll be fun (brain overload, free bar, retro gaming machines, etc., etc.).
We also get to spend the week avoiding getting Lakosed, but after a false start ages ago we're getting reasonably good at that now.
Bring it!

Sounds great. I don't think it'll be quite like that at DevWeek.

Shame - they're missing out on a trick or two.
I suspect that if I had to describe my impression of DevWeek in one word it would be "corporate".

Very. I can't complain though - speaking there is giving me a chance to catch up with a few people. I'm tempted to make this my last formal speaking gig though - I think I'll be moving more towards talking to User Groups.

Sounds like a plan.

I would suggest you to post this in Lounge as this forum is rarely visited one. You will definitely find many of the Members.

Cool. Thanks Rohan.

Problem with that is that the lounge can be a very fast moving place - and the chances of his post remaining visible on the first page by tomorrow are pretty much nil - even for a Sunday.
This is a better place, even if it doesn't get as much posting as other places.
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

Well, I am unaware of many codeprojectians. But this one fellow Rion Williams (http://www.codeproject.com/Members/rionmonster[^]) is going. You can see his tweet that he made about his travel to MVP summit, https://twitter.com/Rionmonster/status/528892651446468609[^]
He said, Quote: Getting ready to start the trek across the country which ends in Bellevue for the @MVPAward #MVPSummit
Have a great trip there.

Okay, I'm down in London for NDC London[^] between the 3rd and 5th December if any London based CPians would care to get together. Not sure where I'll be staying yet, but it will be somewhere within shouting distance of the ExCel.

How much technical knowledge is useful in IT industry that the student learn or study in engineering college?
Just 30%
You can opt IT my dear. There is no such constraints. You will keep learning as you study..
Remember Learning has no age. If you have the interest in codes you will prosper no matter what knowledge you have before that.
Thanks

Why is that experienced people are preferred over freshers in job?
Wrong forum, and this really is not a question that can be answered. Some companies are happy to take freshers, others will only recruit based on experience.
