Well not forgetting the back ended it into telstra's [useless aged] infrastructure; the other telco's wanted a piece and were willing to pay, but the govt [having sold the once publicly owned telstra for the second time] wouldn't let the others play. telsta of course having no competition [by law] simply put the money in their pockets and did nothing to improve their end except held the price artificially high, (again because they were guaranteed exclusivity).

The cost overrun? guess who was responsible for putting the thing together, they simply didn't care because somebody else was paying the bill, even fully signing off and paying for work that they knew was below spec.

It's not the NBN that failed (the connections work fine when the initial bodgy install is fixed), it's the service provider that didn't/still doesn't deliver [and give a sh*t].
