At least be grateful that you can still get onto a roof. My days of roof work are over. I have a permanent form of ataxia with some vertigo that means I have to walk with a cane to help me stay balanced. Yuck! Growing old really sucks!

But the choices:
1. become grumpy old man - can say anything at any time (Pickles)
2. act a lot younger and do anything you like - can blame it on senility attack
Either way can get away with more than the stupid irresponsible young'uns. Hell, we've earned the right to do/say what we want.

That's because, unlike when you were younger you realize you can fall down (even from less than 6 feet) and get broken.
Also, depending upon how long-in-the-tooth-if-any you are, you may have become aware that things 'boo-boos' don't get better like they used to.

If you don't like cleaning gutters, give this a try: iRobot Looj[^].
I gave it a try this weekend and was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked. It created quite a bit of noise but it did what it was advertised to do: my gutters are now mostly free of debris. It has its quirks but they're easy enough to figure out (it's a bit too light to keep it from flipping over in the gutter when it hits a stubborn pile of leaves and dirt).

I've had flicker screen on my laptop since I updated to Win10. My i7, 8GB /w touchscreen, toshiba originally came with Win8.1 and I had ran it for 6 mos with no problems.
After updating to Win10, I began having screen flicker problems that have gotten so bad that my screen would go entirely black for 30 sec. - 1 minute before coming back.
It's gotten better over time and worse. I've tried installing various drivers, etc.
At some point I noticed if I moved my laptop screen the problem would seem to fix itself.
Then I noticed that if I touched the screen it would seem to fix the problem.
This same flicker problem has been reported on Microsoft Surface devices (also touchscreen devices).
Then it hit me today --- "is there a way to disable the touch screen and would that help?"
I searched and found the following image and I turned off "HID-compliant touch screen"

It seems to have solved the problem so far. I will update and let you know if I see the problem any more.
Maybe this will help someone else too. 
We will see what happens.
EDIT 1
I am seriously happy because I've just returned to my laptop after being away from it (lunch break) for over an hour. The problem has always manifested after the screen goes to sleep and then I awaken it, however, as I just unlocked the screen I had zero flicker.

Yes, I no longer have touchscreen ability on my laptop but I never use it anyways, so I've lost nothing...except the terrible flicker.
EDIT 2
This seems to be the solution. I've been away from my computer again and the screen went to sleep and when I logged on again I had no blinking. Over the past few weeks it had been terrible and every time I came back to my computer it would flicker for the first 2 minutes or so off and on.
Glad this is fixed for me...but I do agree with the reply about 1000 cuts. Microsoft, we'll just keep removing features until things seem to work...We're back to the command line.
EDIT 3 - One Last Check-in
I just returned to my laptop to check one more time.
Previously, every time it went to sleep then I'd get the flickerscreen.
Once again it is working perfectly fine.
I believe the issue is actually solved.
It's probably quite obscure too since you have to have a touchscreen enabled for the problem to occur.
Probably like 3 other users out there in the same boat.

I really don't know whats worse: Their quality or their grim determination to install this crap on your computer anytime they feel like it.

Yeah, I feel really way behind now, after not wasting time on learning stuff they have abandoned again. Being left behind definitely saves a lot of time. Perhaps I should show my gratitude by contributing to some open source project.

Hmmm appears to be a one shot device, better to get one with a gun (either very low calibur for 'oh why did X fall over' or very high .50 Cal or 20 mm cannon for don't mess MF) or several hold them at altiude and point to your victim. They way I am feeling this am a pitch fork would required to shift the dead.

Of course I'll go to the doctor this next week, but meanwhile...
I got a brand new Sail chair from Herman Miller.
Yesterday I saw the table at the office was a little bit inclined to the right... And now, after a couple of months sitting on the new chair I've discovered my back is aching terribly in the low end left side.
As most of the people here are sitting everyday and I guess I'm not the first one to get this kind of ache...
What would you recommend me to soften that ache a little?

Yesterday I did it a little and today I'm a little bit better... let's hope I'll be well soon... I know I won't die of that, but it is terrible as I can't concentrate properly...

Yes. I've been there. Practise sport or, at least, walking, moving. Don't wait to stop hurting to move, it's just the opposite, you should force yourself to move for the pain to disappear. If you can't sleep at night because of the pain, a heating pad works perfect for me.
You can have a terrible chair and table, but if you keep yourself active the pain won't appear. While working, try to find an excuse to stand and walk a bit every hour.
