Few options:
- Go somewhere else for walk.
- Get a bigger dog.
- Do it yourself.
I need to know if he has no other issues in life that this is a big one or everything is a problem for him.

Better yet - exercise his dog (and the dog's sphincters, too, no doubt) in his own yard. I mean really, if he loves his pet he should love all aspects of it and be a little less willing to share.

Dogs are generally happy in grass. They eat it too often. Don't if this one likes it and the owner understands his dog's behaviour.
There are plenty of people who love their pet dogs. But they do not understand that particular breed's needs, and are not interested in doing all the other work that comes along with it.
I have seen many people around where I live who have no clue about how to take care of Labradors. Most of those dogs appear to be extremely overweight due to incorrect nutrition and absolute lack of exercise. This leads to plenty of health problems for poor dogs. Also, many of them I have seen buy cute puppies and then simply get rid of them after few months as they grew too big too fast.
There must be some mandatory education before one can own a pet.

EDUCATION JOB ONE
- Don't take your pet to relieve themselves anyplace but on your own property.
- Supposed 'Cleanup' isn't adequate - until you're ready to sit there.
- Have your pet wash the tires on your own :elephant"ing car.

W10 in a VM, nobody (in their right mind) would debug my software on a real machine.

Like crap -- just got over a month of bronchitis and now have it again.

But think of it this way: if you hadn't given up, it'd probably be even worse. I gave up in '04 and am damn glad I did - especially when I look at how much they cost now!

You should try these things:
* use a 'humidifier' while resting/sleeping
* drink a lot of fresh lemonade with honey
* cut a big onion and put away in honey for 24 hours - eat 3-5 teaspoons of the juice 3 times a day
