Now a days, i see a trend that every new technology should be used. I've came across even companies who don't know pros and cons of Blockchain but they're planning to use it. I know many developers who want to definitely use this tech. When you ask them a simple question, Why? The answer is, Ummmm..!
The thing is, it makes sense at 'some' point, not all. If you come under the (some) first category, use it otherwise don't. I think this makes sense.
Try to find out fool in a deal. If you can't find one, it's you.

now at least there is alternative hardware i just hope it wont compete with graphics card production..

It's a new buzzword technology that is reliant on exponentially expanding disk space and processing power in order to be viable for any extended length of time. Since neither disk space, processing power, or the electricity they require is infinite, blockchain and the technology built on it will eventually collapse under their own weight.

Maybe the CP Lounge threads could be set up as a block-chain and we can then evaluate how well it works; get a report from complimenters, as well.
Thereafter, this survey can be reposted and an change in opinions can be evaluated. While at it, the survey could be block-chained, as well.*

The average BC transaction already sucks up as much energy as the average household uses in a month and that will only grow with the length and complexity of its blockchain.
Yes, oil is a filthy, filthy business, the world is being strip-mined and we are drowning in our own non-biodegradable synthetic waste products. Those are entirely different issues. None of these things alter, in any way whatsoever, the unavoidable fact that blockchain is not a viable technology for universal usage - either ecologically or economically. If conventional monetary systems were to use it or be replaced by it, there simply wouldn't be enough energy in the world to sustain it nor would there be enough money to pay for it. Money would soon cost more money to process than it was worth.
I'd call such a lack of scalability a slight flaw in the algorithm, wouldn't you?
