OK, cruisy day (so I thought), handed a win10 machine, "we can't get into this machine, can you help?"

yar, I thought, download some quick 'n dirty password reset prog, 30 minutes work, half a day billing out of here.

well there's hundreds of softwares out there, "free," "Free," "FREE!!!"
So many listed and highly recommended on "Top 10 free password reset app" review sites.

First WTF!
You need to install a program (on another PC) to make a bootable password reset bootable USB,
but I only want to make 1 bootable USB, not a farking bunch of them.
(if it's just burning an ISO already got rufus)

OK, who cares, install, run it, (insert USB...) uninstall - other machine not mine either but I hate useless crap on the machines I use - need that machine for other real work

plug USB into target machine, boot, select account, reset password
Second WTF!
THIS IS THE DEMO VERSION, PAY MONEY TO ENABLE THIS FEATURE

Oh for farks sake. - So many of those "FREE" programs are like that

Sigh. well couple of hours and three coffee breaks later I finally did find one genuine free genuine working thingo: (UBCD - Ultimate Boot CD if you're interested - no affiliation.)

But it just pisses me off that these are advertised as free
OK some say "free download" - but MOST just say "Free" ... not "free to try," "free to demo," many say "FREE."
EVEN WORSE farking review/top-10 sites highly recommending that sheeit and also saying they are FREE.

Sigh. farking windudshit - windud's is not software, it's a mental illness

At least with linux when they say free they really mean FREE, not demo / trial, ... FREE!, and nearly always with source code

Were you affected by the geomagnetic storms this past weekend?
Communication disruptions, electrified pipes, random unexplained blue-screens in Windows - the list of effects is terrifying.
