how to filter user in formation using Active directory in asp.net

I i have many folders in my Active Directory.
In one folder contains many subfolders e.g. the
"Aftab" (the main folder) under which I have "student", "Faculty", "Employee" etc.

How do I find out if a file has come from a from particulat folder?

How to use this one.Pls Help me its very Urget.
Pls give me some good example.
