Hello Friends

I have a Query which is given below.

A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. sql server 2005. The server was not found or not accessible. verify the instance name is correct and that SQL server is configured to allow remote connections.(Provider : SQL Network Interfaces, error: 28- Server doesn't support requested protocol)

Please solve my problem as soon as possible.

Solution 1

The server was not found or not accessible.
This gives you some insight.

It might be one of various reasons:
1. Incorrect connection string
2. Surface area not configured
3. Firewall blocking

Look at the options and make sure that the server is found and accessible.

Solution 2

Looks like you were unable to connect to the database.
Check your connection string or ODBC settings and make sure you are able to connect to the database successfully.
