to start the service only when starting the computer. user can not start/stop/restart the service.

i have developed the window service. in this i want to start the service only when starting the computer. user can not start/stop/restart the service.manually these all thing are handle when user start the computer.

or
lock the all properties from the user.all working done by coding when we start the computer.

Solution 2

First you have to install the service.. Check above link provided by AbhiNav.

Then go to Manage(Right click my computer-->Manage)

select services

find your service

open properties for selected service

set startup Type AUTOMATIC

start the service...

nexttime service will start automatically...

This will depend on what operating system you are using.
I think In windows XP you can achieve this from GROUPPOLICY setting(Type gpedit.msc in RUN).
Here you can enable or disble the perticular component/feature of windows OS. Google and find how to deny access to windows services
