multiplayer gprs gaming in java(Snake and ladder game)

I need the algorithm for snake and ladder.
1)Logic to move the user up when he comes to base of ladder.
2)Logic to move the user DOWN when he comes to head of snake.
3)To randomly change the position of snake and ladder after each round,such that the base of ladder/head of snake does not come in place of user's position.

If you really do not have any idea how to start then take a look at some of the articles here on CodeProject, and try using Google to do some research for yourself.
