how to pass a value from one view to anothar view in asp.net mvc3

hi,
I have two views in my project.In one view I have a grid and in another view I have a list view.depending upon the row selected in the grid i have to display the data in the list view depending upon the "id" selected in the grid.how can i pass the selected value of "id" in grid to list view.
I used ajax function to pass this grid id from view to controller.but i am not able pass this value to the list view.
