Is com component necessary of Addidtional functions in crystal reports when using VS2010?

Hi Everybody. I had developed a desktop app and my application required some reporting features which were developed in crystal reports.

Now I have migrated this app to VS2010 and I am still integrating with crystal reports. But my reports have reference to Additional Functions(Crystal reports) which require some COM component.

I want to exclude this com component(CRUFLvb) and have a DLL instead of it.

Is this possible?? If so then how can I do this??
