Exactly my thoughts. I'd rather learn some new technology rather than a new language. Current things on the table at the moment are MEF and NETMF.

Update my knowledge time to time with the technology which is used for any new project.
Not spend extra time to learn as I do not get it. My spare time is for my friends and family.
I also have some life out of my office and that is too small so why to waste valuable time in learning...

If any new technology required during our project development then only we used to get time to learn that new technology . Otherwise generally we don't used to get time even..
