If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpfull answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

We don't have a holiday this week, other than Christmas itself, but I have to take the time off or lose it. There is so little time to take the vacation I accrue each year that about the only way I can use it up before it's lost at the end of the year is to cram it all in during the final weeks of the year. The GM is trying to convince the Board that we should be allowed to carry over more than two weeks of accrued vacation, but so far he's been unsuccessful. Maybe next year...
In the meantime, I have to settle for working 4-day weeks throughout the 4th quarter, and taking the last week entirely off, and there's not really much they can say against it.
Will Rogers never met me.

...and yet a lot of non-Christians get the Christmas break off work.
(and besides, there's an option for this case in the survey)

Actually, hanging out during christmas'week makes me sad. Everything is closed, everything is dead.
On the other hand, there is traffic jam to go to work, all the daily interruptions at work took their time off for the week, and you can get nice $$ bonus for working during "normal holidays".

Company had Monday off, so I took the time to run some processes that cannot be run normally. Took the 25th off. Back at it today.

Funny how my lay off is finalized on the last business week of the year. At least I get Christmas day off.

How is your search going? I remember you were choosing between contract or fulltime last time you mentioned it.

Scary.
I have a couple strong possibilities, but nothing concrete. A lot of the openings around the Albany area now, are either for Java or WPF/MVVM developers.
As for contract/permanent, who knows. I have 2+ year contracts in my requirements and/or full-time permanent.
Hope you and your family had a good Holiday.
Take care.

These days I don't find any technical questions in this section.
Mostly i can see is questions regarding new gadget or application.
Or even day to day activity.
I am seeing upto CodeProject team that they will have much more technology info to share with us.

Chris has been asking for survey ideas on the home page and in the weekly emails... I think a holiday related survey is appropriate considering the time of year!
|
|
|
|
|
a) It's Christmas!
b) Suggest a survey[^]
