I wear glasses only during my work (using PC) and for fashion (in order to protect eyes from wind and sun)

I don't need glasses for my eyesight but I wear sunglasses (not subscription) because the bright sunshine hurts my light blue eyes and can give me migraines.
If AR glasses ever become something real and affordable there is another reason I would probably start wearing glasses.

I never need to wear glasses as I have a perfect and sharp vision because of the blessings of the God.
I am working 09 HRS per day in front of computer screen since last 5 years and my eyes vision is perfect and hoping for same for next couple of years

Had laser eye surgery in 2002. Worked well until 2013 when I noticed some degradation. Got to the point where I needed and bought glasses in 2016. And now I don't wear them even though I should.

How do you control the laser beams? Is it vocal commands or based on motion? Did you set them to stun?
I so wish I could afford at least a laser eye...

I wore glasses since I was 7 but then I decided to go under the laser... and I don't regret it at all.
24 hours later I had 110% results and now I still am at 105% (10 years after). The only annoying side effects were high light sensibility for 3 months (could not drive at evening / night) and almost 6 months of dry eyes (drops several times a day).
Esthetics had nothing to do with it (glasses were a part of me and I had no complex at all due to them). I did it for practical reasons and I still consider it as one of the best decisions I ever made.

I have worn glasses for over 23 years and I am strongly considering laser eye surgery. My wife had it done a couple of years ago and she loves it (no regrets).

If you meet the requirements... I would not hesitate.
But I would look for a good professional, there are a lot of "gimme $$$" that don't give a damm on the patients.
I was lucky that my mum came with me on the first meeting, because she was interested too, but as she asked if it would be possible for her (taking blood medicament due to an infarct) he answered: "No, I don't think it is a good idea. If you were getting blind... well that would be another situation, but right now... I won't take the risk"
That gave me the last "Ok, I like this guy" and convinced me to do it.

I had to wear glasses since I was 20 years old. I used soft daily/monthly disposable contact lenses for years but they had some big drawbacks (looking after them, tearing, losing them when doing various sports, dry/sore/red eyes after over-use..).
I had iLASIK back in 2014 and have been very happy with the results. It only took a few minutes as well. I didn't have the side effects you had though - I had about 4 months with eye drops, no sensitivity or halos.. must have been lucky I guess.
Even on the day, my eyes were only sore for about 2 hours then better after that (I stayed in my bedroom with the blinds shut - and my eyes - listening to an audiobook). I was very strict with the recovery process though - I did exactly what they said for the first 2 days and took the eye drops very regularly. It took about 2 months before the dryness disappeared off.
It's a very liberating feeling not needing glasses
Now is it bad enough that you let somebody else kick your butts without you trying to do it to each other? Now if we're all talking about the same man, and I think we are... it appears he's got a rather growing collection of our bikes.

I could have used them easily (same graduation and same diameter on both eyes), but I could not get used to pull them into the eye with the finger. So I stopped and continued wearing glasses.

Me too. Not only with recovery, but during the laser operation too. I had to blink and I stopped the process with the button, blinked, focused again the red dot target and then released the button.
I think mostly of the "not so good" results with that operation is due to patients not doing what they have to / are told to.

I went out of the clinic with my hand on my father's shoulder. Eyes closed all the way. Got home, went in bedroom (full dark), slept for 12 / 14 hours, woke up, cleaned the "dream sand" off, opened the eyes... damm I can see everything. No focus problems or headache or so, only light and dry.

It did take a while to get used to putting lenses in.. taking them out was a lot easier although I did have one split with one half falling out and the other going way up over the top of the eyeball - very painful and I had to rinse my eye multiple times to get it out..

That's different - my eye was clamped open, there was no way to blink. The main thing was to lie as still as possible, although the machine was tracking movements in my iris to keep itself aligned.

Yep, I agree. There was a guy in the recovery room who'd panicked and probably caused long term problems. You have to be ready to trust the surgeon and for a small amount of discomfort.

Yes, the same for me but my wife led mt to the car. I stayed in the dark for 24 hours though (as advised at the time). It probably would have been okay earlier but like you said, you follow the instructions you're given

I had laser surgery back in 2004. My health insurance had a deal with a third-party provider and the surgery only cost me something like $600 per eye. I had to travel a bit over an hour to go to a doctor that was part of the program, but it was well worth it. One of the best decisions I ever made.
