Survey Results

As a developer, how do you rate yourself against your work colleagues?   [Edit]

Survey period: 3 Feb 2003 to 9 Feb 2003

90% of drivers think they are better than average and I'm sure the same goes for developers. How do you honestly rank yourself among those you work with?

I have a theory about the way the poll results are skewed to the "above average" range. Where I work, the people who I consider to be below average performers are pretty much 9 to 5 sloggers who have little interest in advancing their knowledge. These are not the kind of people who read the literature, keep up with the technologies, or are CodeProject members. Hence, they could not participate in the survey.

I expect if I asked them the survey question I'd probably get a pretty honest answer.
