Completely true. I use 2005 for all systems being built now, probably 2008 when it comes out, SqlExpress for practically every PoC that needs a DB, MySQL for anything *nix based and Java/Python too. I want to go back to FireBird. That is one blazingly fast DB. I'd suggest it to anyone that wants to try an open source alternative.
