I answered good year for us but I just read my company is making 15,000 redundant this month. I'm just praying it isn't the sub-department I'm in

The company will perform good (as in make profit), but yeah the 15,000 redundancies is bad; I just hope I'm not one of them!

And why are you taking these "reports" seriously in the first place? Some of them claim the layoffs were already announced internally. Did you get anything?

Yep. Only getting news from what I'm reading in the paper, nothing has been said internally yet. Reports say if anything is announced it'll be before the 21st of Jan.

We have 18 months of backlog, so 2009 is taken care off. I don't know how much new business will they be able to bring in though. Hopefully the economy will get better before I have to start worrying about that.
