Particularly exquisite, because "wand" is Dutch for "wall".

Not sure, but it would put me in a pissy mood.

Same thing when you are stupid.

It depends on whether the animal walks on two or four legs.
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

If any teenager of mine spray-tags any walls, she(*) will discover that this old dog still has quite a few bites left in him!

«There is a spectrum, from "clearly desirable behaviour," to "possibly dodgy behavior that still makes some sense," to "clearly undesirable behavior." We try to make the latter into warnings or, better, errors. But stuff that is in the middle category you don’t want to restrict unless there is a clear way to work around it.» Eric Lippert, May 14, 2008

I don't need that. I have all my toys in one room already and nobody can do anything about it.

Reading that, the first thing that came to mind was, geez, she needs a husband. Then again, it was probably a husband that got her into this situation.

I've been using ES File Manager for 4 years, but the last couple of revisions have turned it into bloated adware that just annoys me when I try to use it, and made it harder to use.
So I'm looking for a replacement that lets me access my NAS and copy documents about nicely.
Anyone got a good one?

I have been using this one for several years now:
[^]
This has very good support of the different possible file sources (network to access directly the HD of my DSL box, the sdcard of the phone, or the phone content itself), does a very good job at copying/cutting etc...

That's the same one I would recommend. Easy to use and it's able to do everything I need.

Looks interesting! Is that a built in FTP Server, or is it just Client?

I did not see anything about FTP server, so I would assume only Client, but the feature list is long and I have not looked at everything in detail.

I second that File Manager, but recommend the original version when it was still Rhythm Software. I set my Android devices to not auto update and have preserved old versions of APKs. Including the original ES File Explorer that had the backup capability in the free version! You can grab 'em from here[^]. All the APKs are free versions of the apps.

The Rhythm Software version (1.16.7) is still available on the Amazon App Store for free ...
Google Play has the Cheetah Mobile version (3.5.0) - which pretty much sums up the Amazon attitude.
