Defect or be sunk, that is the question.
I read Yulia Tymoshenko "made" her millions from Ukraine's energy markets and she probably condemns Viktor Yanukovych for his excess of wealth. Ukraine is a mess. Me, I'm going to buy shares in its nuclear industry as that at least is stable, well run, clean, and gives you a warm glow at night.
If there is one thing more dangerous than getting between a bear and her cubs it's getting between my wife and her chocolate.

The conflict isn't over yet...
But if it's true what Dave writes, it seems like the Ukranian Navy has already gone French on us...
Note: Actually, to be honest, I don't think it's a laughing matter. Let's REALLY REALLY hope it isn't the start of a new World War!

The French Navy refused to defect, to Britain. That was a massive mistake.
Why wait till the krauts were at the gates of Toulon and then sink your boats, or park them up in Africa? Why didn't they, and the entire French airforce immediately just go to the Britain and fight from there?
I don't get it. Surely you wanted a free France? Surely you knew Britain was on your side? Or were there fascist sympathisers in the navy?

The Ukrainian Navy and Russian Navy currently share bases; but there're about 10x as many Russian personnel in them. Combined with Putin's thuggishness and what you get is:
"Nice family you got here, it'd be a shame if something happened to it..."
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

"Archaeopteryx eats first?"(5,4)
---------------------------------
Obscurum per obscurius.
Ad astra per alas porci.
Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum videtur .

I think the answer is: Early Bird
Archaeopteryx - a bird that lived early
As "Early Bird" this can refer to someone who gets up early, then probably he eats first.

Well Done.
The early bird gets the worm.
(It is the second mouse that gets the cheese)

And the early worm gets eaten.
