Windows 9 Microsoft prepares Windows Blue, replacing Windows 8 is supposed to come out in 2013 at a significantly lower price or be free, according to information obtained by The Verge.
This information contradicts the roadmap that has leaked last year. Microsoft has decided to meet the annual cycles of Android, iOS and OS X. It is expected in mid-2013.

This may mean that I'll skip two versions of Windows.

Still using Win Vista I see. Can't wait for 8.

Surprised have not moved to win 7. Vista has not been considered very good.

Yep, I hated it... I only use WinXP and Win7 (along with a bunch of Linux distros)... still haven't really dabbled too much in Windows 8.

Yes, seems to be that it is either XP or Win7. Unfortunately MS is not supporting Framework 4.5 on XP. WOuld be better if they did not support Vista.

Don't know if anybody even noticed when they dropped support of ME.

That OS was a catastrophe!

Pretty much Vista was also. We will have to see about Win 8, but I suspect it will be considered a bad OS also.

Does this mean that they are going to be doing their usual (releasing a Beta as RTM, intending to fix it at SP1 once the dust settles) but launching a new Beta before they get to SP1 at all? 'Cos if it does, I might just stick with 7 for a loooooong time!

Those darn SDKs... requiring developers to write applications.

I don't care. I'll still be using 7 of 9 because it's my favorite.

I would be happy to let 7 of 9 use me.
