When it comes to spelling, people just use what they think the local custom is (or what country the spell checker is set to.) We see so many variations from different parts of the world, I now not sure what is what.
All I know is color has a 'u' in it

English is a fake language, anyway. I spent years looking for words that originated from true English tribes, before all the invasions of a couple of thousand years ago, and couldn't find a single one that was provable.
It only gets by being called a language because people use it; there's no "purity" at all, so if different groups use different dialects, so what?
"My variant of this non-existent language is better than your variant of it!" just doesn't wash.

Huh? The word is 'released' as in 'press release' or 'news release' and, with the informal elision of 'it has been' that's entirely appropriate for Twitter, completely properly used. I've no truck with the man myself but I really can't see the point of attacking him on completely spurious grounds. If there's one thing he's never had a problem with, it's communication!

Oh. To be honest, I didn't follow the links - saw Trump's name and thought politics. My bad.
Anyhow, I wouldn't fight you anyway on the topic - I was just being silly. I'm too tired of this political crap anyways. It is everywhere you go here in the States - paper/web/people talking/arguing. I just want it to be done.
