How to work on MVC in ASP.NET with C#

Hi I am beginner in MVC, i am familiar with ASP.NET but i never work in MVC.
Help me and guide me how to start...
I need to simple example that insert,update, delete or search in sql server.

I would want to say MVC-4 (updated the answer, by the way, thank you very much), but perhaps it also depends on prerequisites. I know just the pattern, not this product.
