Am researching to write an SD card reader/writer for ARM and ran across this HxD Hex editor[^]. Put in an SD card in my card reader tell it to open it and it breaks the output down into disk sectors.

Yes, that's a good Hex editor/viewer. I added it to the "Send To" context menu in Windows explorer (add a link to the executable in %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo) for ease of use.

First of all, I am sorry if it is a repost. I have checked the first pages before posting.
I have found the link in a message here in CP and wanted to have a look because it can be useful for me to repair a self recorded piano concert of my girlfriend.
I have just played a bit with it and it looks very promising. That's why I thought to share it.

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

I actually have Audacity tied into another project of mine for playing audio in various formats. It's definitely a neat tool.

WavePad is an easy-to-use audio editor you can use to record and edit audio.
RecordPad is a general audio recording program to quickly and easily record sound on your computer.

Audacity is open source... that other project isn't... besides, that looks like it's really aimed at music production, which is not what I use Audacity for.

Audacity is a fortunate gateway into minor editing and introduction to basic tools for anyone who really wishes to do anything with music, sounds, and even just creating ringtones.

I used Audacity, but find OcenAudio easier to use.

In Word you can only store 2 bytes. That is why I use Writer.

There are many math expression parser and evaluator tools out there, for example muParser and muParserSSE. Is there a software tool that parsers a mathematical expression and returns or evaluates the inverse of the expression?

As most us know, VS2013 has more improved development tools than previous versions. But this is in addition to what exists. Click here[^] to download.

You can find the Productivity Power Tools from within Visual Studio 2013: open Tools/Extensions and Updates/OnLine/Visual Studio Gallery and you can search for it, or scroll around to find it.

I tried Google but didn't get all-in-one(or I'll have to re-search Google again later)
Any handy tool for following things(with password settings)?
Enable/Disable
-USB ports(for pendrives/external harddisks)
-CD/DVD
-Internet
Frankly I don't have any valuable data in my laptop but want to prevent my brother/friends disks which comes with viruses mostly.

You do not need any tool to do that. Just create a separate normal user for yourself 'YourName', and then create one more user with admin rights 'Admin'.
Now Login with Admin user and change the group policy for normal users. Done.
See here[^] or here[^].

Actually I'm looking for handy tool for those things. If there's no 'all-in-one' tool then I'll try to create one by C# but at the same time I don't to re-invent the wheel.

As far as i know, there is no "All in one" tool for this requirements. You can get 1 & 2 from one tool( eg.Desktop central 8) and the 3 as separate one
To learn all there is to know. I know I'll be disappointed one day, but I've made a good start, and the eventual disappointment is likely to be brief.

Hi,
for a professional application, I am looking for a tool that is able to:
- monitor user defined paths for file changes
- monitor registry changes of defined registry folders
- log the fact that a change has taken place, and by which process (for example: test.ini modified by notepad.exe)
- log a short diff report (this is the point that I really found no real solution for... i.e. show what was actually changed in a file and create a diff-report like Windiff oder KDiff)
I already found tools like FileSpy on sourceforge which can do part of what I need, but no tool which is capable of doing them all.
Any suggestions where to look at? Preferrably free software, but if the tool is good, it may also be commercial software.
