Thanks a lot, Chris
Just one more thing, I've just noticed that the 2 "Overall" competition pages also have that same broken link to Nicolas' article:

I see statistics on how many times my article was viewed, and how many times it was bookmarked - is there any way I can find out how many times my zip files were downloaded?

At the moment. No. It's been requested a few times, but never taken further than that.

Hi Matt,
Now that your article has been edited by our editors, the only way to update it is to submit the updated source code and HTML to us. You can use the “Get Article’s HTML” from the link in the upper right hand corner of your article, and send both updated HTML and zipped sourced code to us at either my email address, or submit@codeproject.com.
Please let me know if you have any questions about the process.
Thanks,

I wrote to submit@codeproject.com and attacahed a new .zip file with two bugfixes in the code. I never got any reply and the site was never updated.
So this codeproject is apparently yet another disaster site where all your e-mails just land in some black hole and are ignored.
I'm not gonna spend as much as 20 seconds more on attempting to get these bugfixes through. You have to dig them out your mailbox yourself.
Bye!

I can't seem to find your e-mail in the Junk, Spam, or Deleted folders, and never saw it in my inbox. Perhaps it was just lost in the ether.
Do you authorise me to upload the source update for you from here?

An article that was published on codeproject.com a few days ago (this sone[^]) contains a significant portion of code and the program icon from an article that I published here two years ago (GPS Tracking with Windows Mobile 5.0+[^]). I don't mind others using the code, after all that is why I published it here. However, I can't say I am fond of the idea of another article being written based on the code that I wrote without an acknowledgement of some type that the code was derived from what I had written. Is there a procedure in place to address this scenario? The only thing that I want is a statement of acknowledgement and optionally a link back to the original code.
|
|
|
|
|
I will write the author and request the acknowledgement. In most situations Joel, they are more than happy to acknowledge their peers (just weren't sure if they had to or how to)
Thanks,

Hi
I've posted an article (its here[^])
But it still says "Status - Composing". And in My Articles page, it is "Unfinished article".
Am I missing something? Or is it normal to take a couple of days before getting published?
Thanks
Rama

I have changed the status to Pending, as it should be.

Hi,
I submitted an article update a couple of days ago for this article[^]. It hasn't been updated yet. I sent it to submit@codeproject.com. I didn't get any feedback that it was in the queue or anything. I'm just wondering if I did something wrong, or did the message not get through... how long does it normally take?

Hi Scott,
Sorry about that, your e-mail went to the Junk Mail folder, but I told Junk mail never to do that to you again.
I've also sent your article update to one of our editors to be posted ASAP
Thanks,
