I would suggest that you improve your search skills. My search for "ASP.NET image slider" returned more than 2 million results. A lot more than "not much".
You can lead a developer to CodeProject, but you can't make them think.

We need a lot more details. I don't follow what you're saying.

I am trying to check input from a .NET BASIC input form. Is using reg-edit over engineering my solution? I am using [^A-Z, 0-9] to block out bad inputs, Is this too much?

You mean regex (regular expression) I'm sure...
No. It is not too much. In a lot of cases checking input with regex the best way (fast and simple), the only thing you have to take care of is to write the write expression...
In your case, the expression tells to pass only chars that are not uppercase Latin letters (A-Z), not comma (,), not space ( ) and not numeric (0-9)...It sounds to me strange, so check it...
Here a nice visual tool to see what expression you are building: http://regexper.com/[^]
Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

Using Regex is not over-engineering.
Most scripting / programming languages allow regex.

Quote: Known Issues
There are persisting issues running R.NET from an ASP.NET application. The exact cause remains unclear, but this may be a inherent limitation of the R native engine with respect to thread safety. Doesn't sound to me like an issue that could be resolved with a forum post.

Hi plz who can help me, i am trying to use datagridview rows as cheched and the make updated the checked columns in to Emptable
itryed as flows:
For i As Integer = 0 To DataGridView1.Rows.Count - 1
While DataGridView1.Rows(0).Cells("Select").Value = True
sql = "update tbl_EmpDetails set Approval='" & x &"' where eid='"& DataGridView1.Rows(i).Cells(1).Value &"'"
cmd = New SqlClient.SqlCommand(sql, conn)
cmd.ExecuteNonQuery()
End While
Next

You mistakenly wrote a 0 in the following line where an i should be instead:
While DataGridView1.Rows(i).Cells("Select").Value = True
Also, you should use SqlParameters[^] instead of concatenating your SQL-statements:
- to avoid the risk of SQL-injection
- make your code better readable
- avoid errors due to quotes in strings.

Hi,
For macro distribution, I want to write a vb.net application that installs all addons the user needs into MS Office and deploys a few shortcuts.
One of the addons needs a .bas module to be injected into the Outlook VBA. If the module already exists, it needs to be updated from the .bas file.
After injecting the .bas file, I need to import ribbon customization files to the ribbon in a new e-mail and in an opened e-mail (read view).
At this moment, my code hooks into the running Outlook instance or - if not existing - fires up a new instance of Outlook. But then I'm stuck.
Is there a way to do this? How do I do this? I've referenced to Outlook 2013 in early binding -
Imports MSOutlook = Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook - but afterwards, I want to convert it to late binding to be usable on Outlook 2010 as well.
Thanks in advance!

Hello!
I'm looking for a tool to display 2d chemical structures in my .Net application. I found some open source projects to handle this written Java. But I'm not happy with it, because the browser security permissions often blocks the applets. Then I found also Ketcher written in JavaScript, unfortunately I got an javascript error to display only the structure in a webbrowser control. When I run the html page in FireFox or Internetexploere it runs, the error appears only by using the webbrowser control.
Is there a tool available that only displays 2d chemical structures especially mol files?
I look forward to any tips and informations.
Kind regards
Christoph

Hi,
I am facing one issue with Entity Framework Model. I make changes to database and after this I updated production server's copy with my updates with Published Version. But I am getting en error from Entity Framework. So how to update Entity Framework's model as per my database change on production server with Asp.net Published Version site.
Thanks in advance.

Not enough information. You never said what the error was nor which mode of Entity Framework you're using.
In general, with Entity Framework, if you update the database you must also update the code to use that version of the database.

After initial deployment of website, in next revision I added few columns in my database and updated edmx file and it is working fine with my local source. When I published website and uploaded code to web server It is showing an error like "ColumnName" is not found in data collection etc..

I assume you're using Database First. You have to manually make the changes to the database yourself, same as you did with your local copy of the database.
Database First is used when a DBA has control over the database design and you have to write code against it. Normally, you wouldn't have access to the database schema in this situation. DBA's would be making these changes for you.

True, I already executed database script and all table level changes are executed on the server database. Still I am facing issue with published version of the website.
