Question - Why report Lounge Spammers here? Surely the traffic is more dense in the Lounge meaning that more people will spot it there?

I don't hang around in the Lounge much but I do keep an eye on this forum

Because the traffic is high enough that a Protector will see it PDQ, and delete it.
But if the spammer isn't reported, he lives to spam again - and if the messages are deleted it can take ages to get to the account close threshold.
And if the messages aren't deleted, you can't see anything else in the lounge, and the spammer is winning.

Good points thanks. Knew there must be a reason.

When spam posts are deleted by protectors most members will not see the messages and will therefore not report the account. This may lead to still active accounts. Posting here ensures that the account will be deleted too in short time. This is especially useful for busy spammers to reduce the number of posts. The spammer may still create a new account but will hopefully stop after some time.
