I was googling how to do something in WPF (what it was is not important), and I stumbled across a bug reported in 2011. This was Microsoft's resolution:
"The WPF team has recently reviewed this issue and will not be addressing this issue as at this time the team is focusing on the bugs impacting the highest number of WPF developers. If you believe that this was resolved in error, please reactivate this bug with any necessary supporting details."
Ya know what, Microsoft, if even ONE developer is having a problem writing code because you screwed the f*ckin pooch, that should damn well be enough reason to have the problem fixed. I would almost expect this response from a 3rd party tool manufacturer, but on the actual framework!?! What a bunch-o-no-talent-'tards, ESPECIALLY when you recommended to everyone that they drop Winforms in favor of WTF WPF...

They show the door to some 20K employee, so they lack the sufficient developer-hours to fix each and every bug...
In fact - with all the products MS has - they accept bug reports on 19 only!
And of course the "focusing on the bugs impacting the highest number of ... developers" is fake! There is an SQL bug reported in 2008 and has the largest numbers of votes, but still not resolved!!!
I'm not questioning your powers of observation; I'm merely remarking upon the paradox of asking a masked man who he is. (V)

I know of one winforms bug reported in VS2005 that's still unresolved in VS2010.

Yeah, I'm a fan of WPF, but it certainly has its annoyances...
And of course they're never very convincing when they say it's still supported, because they're all focused on WinRT now... Still has XAML in the stack, but I'm sure it'll be completely different... Haven't looked at it yet, as I'm still running Win7.
Sometimes I wonder why I'm still a programmer...

Er, no.
One guy reported the same "fault" 8 or 10 times, but that was what the specification asked for, and the way the software was supposed to work.

In that case Windows would not even have existed, they would have been bankrupt already.
Imagine CodeProject enforcing such a rule; even if ONE dev is having a problem writing code, a fix within a month or the article gets removed.

Yes, about six or seven years ago.
For twenty years I drank at least a wine box every night, but I got bored and stopped.
Didn't have any alcohol for about two years, but it was awkward for friends who found it difficult to be comfortable having a drink with me around not drinking so I relaxed a bit and drink a glass of wine in social situations. Takes me about two months to get through a wine box, even with friends helping! 
I was surprised how easy it was to just not drink: no physical problems at all, even slept better!
When I look back...I was probably well over the drink drive limit every time I drove a car, or rode a bike, for 20 or 30 years...and didn't realize it or even notice.

I was in the booze business for years: Alan Greenwood's Beer Agency, London (78 - 81); Coronet Breweries, Bristol (81 - 88) and Continental Wines, Cardiff (87 - 90 - yes I had two jobs for a while). People in the booze business are either old soaks or drink very little. I'm in the latter camp. I appreciate quality and would rather spend my budget on less but good.

There is nothing new in this world.
I once reported a bug to IBM with a feature within a larger utility on the VM operating system (back in the early '90s when mainframes were still popular). They fixed it by sending out an updated page for the manual (an actual ring-bound, paper manual) where the feature was described. The update was that the feature no longer existed! Problem resolved!

Wow, talk about egocentric. Yeah, I know you're venting, but this is just plain stupid. We all prioritize things and some things are left unresolved, be it with software, home repairs or even with cars.
