Thanks for the tip, but I am already halfway through installing my apps on a clean install of Win 10. So far I like 10, Its user interface is a bit bland, but it seems to work well. The installation of Win 10 on a wiped partition was very quick and uneventful.
Like PIEBALDconsult said above, I just like a clean install of the operating system.

I agree. I did a clean install on another laptop (old celeron, 4GB ram, running Win7) and it all went very well and that laptop works quite well.

Firewall them out. Works fine - only a couple of times I had to update some components and sweared for 15 minutes before remembering I had the firewall mode set to EX-TER-MI-NATE.

If you disable auto-updates in Win 8.1, but enable notifications, you can then choose to never install KB3035583.
I'm waiting until next year before I upgrade: right now Win X smells like a beta to me.

It's 01:25 here is beautiful downtown Aussie, roughly 1 hour 05 minutes till the telecast kicks off here.
I've been off the piss for a week since the boy and I joined a gym this week. 19 years and 11 months since I last trained according to my training journal I found out in the garage.
I phoned my Welsh mate Geraint from Abergwynfi Cape to taunt him, but he was at work and I had to gee up his Aussie Missus to give hime some sh*t. He should be home in 35 minutes and I will call him again.
I have cracked open a new 1125ml bottle of Bundy OP and should be in good spirits for the phone call. I reckon I will be in deep sh*t in the morning as when we win I will be a tad loud and wake the house up.

Seriously I understand the supporting Wales bit, I have an 'English' friend who has Welsh parents and he supports Wales, but England is his second team. Just because you support Wales doesn't mean you have to hate England. How can you want the Country of your birth(and the one I assume you lived in most of your life, or at least was brought up in) to lose?
I have no ties to any of the other home countries, but like most Englishman, whatever the sport(rugby, wendyball, tiddlywinks) I always support the other home nations (with the exception of when they play England). I don't think the Celts realise how much of a compliment it is that they actively support the other team!

If we had beaten Oz, we could have lost to NZ in the final instead!
Those pre-tournament injuries were a killer for us - I'm impressed we have got this far (and very glad we beat England, of course - just a pity Uruguay couldn't rub it in.  )
