The Daily Mirror picked up a story that happened not so far away from here:

And some information seemed to get lost during translation:
- They identified themselve as diplomats and had the necessary documents including those to be armed.
- There mission was to safeguard the transfer of a new sub-marine passing the Kiel Canal.
- The police knows about there mission and had a list of names.
There were discussions here why armed Mossad agents range through the fields.
My first thought when reading about it here was that they should have used bycicles. There are service roads along the canal which can be used by pedestrians and bicyclist and the speed limit on the canal is 15 km/h (8.1 knots).

Actually, I've noticed (at least on their streaming stations) that most European news sources seem to always shade their reports from the middle east with an anti-Israeli bias. This, then, is hardly a blip on the radar of these things - just trying to make them seem a bit more sinister than real life. Things like high Swedish officials calling the shooting of armed assailants in the act of trying to kill random bystanders as "Extra Judicial Killings" was nauseating. The Israeli PM rightly pointed out how come they didn't lay such charges at the feet of the French for their killing some of the Paris terrorists?
Going beyond this is Soapbox material - but I will note this (ironically biblical origin): if you sew the wind you reap the whirlwind. Sadly, Europe is now discovering, as they look over their shoulders, that it is, indeed, harvest time.

I was commenting on the spin of the article. It just brought to mind how foolish the world has become: the only civilized nation in the region is the one they demonize. The allow free exercise of all religions, give woman full and equal rights, and have/(have had) Arab cabinet ministers and Supreme Court justices - yet they're called an apartheid state. And in this world loaded with morons within which we dwell, the cry is picked up and echoed as though it had some merit. Why are there no calls to boycott products from nations that allow the mutilation of women's gentiles? That forbid a woman from stepping out of their home without a male escort? All the talk about human rights - but really - what's with that continent?
My views are tainted by the following observation: whenever an Arab country offered peace to Israel accepted it immediately. No strings attached for either side. Later on, when peace settled in, Egypt got back Sinai (they wouldn't take Gaza!) Now, it turns out, the majority of the Arab world is discovering that Israel may be the only neighbor they have that isn't out to get them.
