Nope. From the onset of puberty to around age 25, boys just grunt. Occasionally they will whine, moan, or storm off in a huff. Painting the bedroom black is also an option. Conversation is not a priority for them, particularly with old folk (i.e. anyone over 25) who clearly will not be able to understand them in any way so why bother.

Fortunately, they do grow out of being little sh*ts, but it takes time ...

You do realise that on their 18th birthday you can dump all their stuff outside the house and change the locks?
