Please correct me if I'm wrong. (I'm not native English speaker) . The way I understand about "vice versa" is that A can do B and B can also do A, right? VS 2k3 can be converted to 2k5 but VS 2k5 can't be converted to VS 2k3 so it's not "vice versa", isn't it? I'm not sure, man.. I'm just telling the way I understand about that word... Smile | :)

Hi There,

Can anyone tell me if there is a quick way to add a keyboard shortcut to the publish command ( i.e. ctrl + shift + p ) for developing web sites in visual studio 2005 with c#?

I have googled, but can't seem to find any decent resources on this.

hi,
I'm using this expression

<asp:label id="DateLabel" text="on ">]]>' runat="server">

inside a GridView. The problem is that it shows the time part as well whereas I just want to display the Date part.

Can anyone plz help me with that?

You can format a BoundField in a GridView like so:

<asp:BoundField DataField="MyDate" HeaderText="MyDate" SortExpression="MyDate" DataFormatString="{0:d}" />

Replace the smiley with : d

sorry that was the code, CP changed my code into CDATA previosuly

Actually I'm using a templateField and there are other labels and stuff too so I cant change it to boundfield right now.

Hi all i am working with asp.net 2.0 and my problem is , whenever i run my index.aspx page on browser the status bar showing i item remaining waiting for http;\\....\index.aspx while page loaded all content of page but when i refresh same page i does not showing same.

how can i resolve this problem when my page load first time.

I have an application which is vieweed through Internet Explorer. However because some users still have a small screensize they have to scroll sideways to see some of the page.
is there a way to write some code which automnatically fits the application to the size of the users screen?

You should design your layout to be fluid, use % widths rather than fixed widths, then it will fit for different screen resolutions. I try to develop my web application to fit 800x600 and they can just stretch to larger screen resolutions.
The IE Developer Toolbar[^] allows you to resize your browser to simulate a smaller screen resolution.
