You need to put it all in the one block, and cast the Eval so that they are both ints. Eval returns an object and the repeater calls ToString on it.

I use an uploade control in my webform but when I run this project I see this error( System.Web.HttpException: Control 'ctl00' of type 'FileUpload' must be placed inside a form tag with runat=server).what should I do?(I use asp.net whith c#)

Hello,
I Got a problem while writing code clientside validation.

I have a textbox control in default.aspx.
i am writing validation(required field validation) in .Js(Seperate Javascript) file

I am writing like this

{
var=document.getElementID("<%= textbox1.ClientID %>").value
if(var=="")
alert("");
}
here my problem is the above code is not calling textbox control in default.aspx.

please give solution...

You should get firefox and firebug. If you did, you would see that a seperate js file is never parsed, so your code is being written verbatim. One way around this is to do something like:

var=document.getElementID(textBoxClientId).value;

Then write a variable called that using the ClientID in the code behind of the page.

Also, NEVER use the result of getElementByID without first checking that it's not null.

Hi all,

I've just started playing with AJAX and am using the update panel to display images if a condition is met. The user can then click on the image and bring in a pop up window.

I have the code working outside a update panel but inside it doesn't seem to work?

Any ideas please.

Here's the code that should be called by the image command.

what is the updatemode of your updatepanel?

You should be able to find the ID of your image in the codebehind. If you would change the url of the ImageButton another image should be displayed.

I think I found the problem. I had triggers on my command buttons but not triggers on the image button so it wasn't posting back. once I put in postback triggers it worked

javascript is not strongly typed, so

var x = 25;

var i = 0;

for (i = 0 to 10)
if (x & (2^i)) // I THINK. && will just check if x is 'true' and 2^i is 'true', not a check for bitwise comparison

Except, are you wanting a bitwise AND ? Does And do that in VB ?

C# create Ajax Accordion and panes?

Hello,
i made and web application that i must use Ajax Accordion. The idea is accordion and his panes to be dynamically created. Actually the data (header and content)for accordion will come from text files. I developed the part that load data from text files but how to bind(?) this data to accordion? I look over and didn't find some solution that is work for me [Frown]
The problem for me actually is in creation in accordion and his panes.

OK. I've got accordion control added in designer and two datatables with two columns (one for title and one for link). The idea is in accordion to have two panes (for each datatable) and in content to have "title" column whith link. So here is the code that work for me:

Buy a book on ASP.NET and read it. This is such an entry level question that even tho I will answer it, it's clear you have a lot to learn.

Session["MyKey"] = "value"; // can be any type
string s = (string)Session["MyKey"];
Session["MyKey"] = null;

I would put the keys into a class, so that you're not always typing them, the compiler will not find typos in there. Also, I'd add methods to a base page class that safely check if a session object is null and return a bool if it is, just like the tryparse methods on classes like string.

Hi,

I have developed one user control,i have written most of the functionality on that control, just i have added that to the aspx page, in the ASCX, i have loaded dyamic controls like checkboxes, labels... based on the Checkbox selection, i want some DDL operations(Edit, Create Delete), on database in the button click. in the button click i want checkbox ID, to find which box is selected. i am not getting that ID. Please help me if any one knows.
