This is a well-known bug in IE6 and earlier. A search for "ie6 select z-index" will give you more information and possible workarounds. If you're using jQuery, you might want to look at the bgiframe plugin[^].

I tried to display using asp:Literal with this code:

but it's now showing properly. It's even breaking the single word at the end of the width like this:

Hi,
Try to change:
<div style="width: 650px; word-wrap: break-word">
into:
<div style="width: 650px; word-wrap: normal">

Is that inside an <asp:Table> tag? If so, it could be the table which is causing the text to wrap. If not, try removing the <asp:TableCell> tags.

my name is abayomi am new to programming and i am saddled with the responsibility of writting and developing a web based virtual classroom that will have a presenter and a participant, a login in screen video communication a chat environment a blackboard.

Good day all - hope it finds you well! We are exploring the possibility of developing a web (IIS world) front end for a legacy application and are looking to understand the best platform / tools / languages / etc. in which to build said front end that collects and presents data to the user as well as pass / receive responses to a back-end DB and detached processes. Additionally it seems we will likely need to be able to potentially receive async data updates (status change for example) and post to the page the user is viewing.

I am trying to get my code to check the “username” field and print an error message letting the user know that they left a field blank. Now before all I had was the below code of which it worked in part, in the sense that the below code was executed when the submit button was clicked on and when the page was refreshed.

To fix this I the added the below code, which now meant that the code only worked if the user clicked on the submit button and didn’t work if the page is refreshed. However I’ve also noticed that even when there is text in the “username” field and say the user got there password wrong (not proceeding to the next page), it simply cleared all fields and printed “*Field missing entry...*” Why is this and how do I sort this out…?

I am faceing below error while transferring records from one database to other using web application
"The remote server returned an unexpected response: (400) Bad Request"
This error not occuring continous when i start process i am inserting bulk of 500 records some times it get transfered but some time error occur . Please help Thank in advance

Sounds like connection timeout issue. Make sure that the connection is active and above for a good period so that your bulk records are easily transferred.
