problem saving datepicker value to MySQL

Hi,

I am using JQuery datepicker and trying to save its value to MySQL date field but it's always saving it as 1970-01-01. How can I solve this?

here is my php:

Hi I've been trying to use video in my HTML5 Practice but the resultant page doesn't display the video and also not saying that it is not supported please help with this.

Consider giving path relative to your current directory. Don't use absolute path in web for such cases.
After that, also check if the file is present at that location.

Yes the file was present I have tried both relative and absolute paths still it's not coming...

Please help.

Consider my question....
Can we store data in XML file like we store it in a (sql) database? Confused | :confused:

I am trying to set my mind in XML if it can store data.... I want to create a HTML5 app for phonebook

Yes, of course you can store data in an XML file. But it will not be much use for large volumes.

Well, I have no idea of the structure of your data or how you wish to manipulate it. So I can't do more than suggest you start by designing the structure and then read the documentation for XML readers and writers, to see how you can handle it.

When I run this query, I get 'row inserted successfully' with no error but I can't see video link or any thing in video column Y - I don't understand that.

Whereas I can see '3andTermonator2in specified columns - perhaps *MySQL* doesn't support.wmv`?

If no, then which extensions could I use? (sorry in advance for may be bit stupid question I'm new to all this business of trying to store videos links in MySQL database, so thanks in advance :)

Hey! Some friends and I want to develop a web application and make it accessible to later costumers via cloud. We are a young start-up and are evaluating different cloud provider right now. In the beginning we want to use PaaS, because of the lower administration and faster time-to-market potential. The cloud provider should offer a good solution for developing multi tenant application in respect to multi instances of the application (accesible to own costumer urls e.g costumer1.myapplication.com) and eventually own databases with the same schema for each costumer. Does someone has experience with cloud providers, of course under consideration of the cost aspects ;)

Hi,

I have member.php file and I am passing query string guid to it to look like this:

http://localhost/mywebsite/member.php?guid=abc123[^]

I want to make it friendly using RewiteRule to show like this:

http://localhost/mywebsite/member/abc123[^]

i tried this in the htaccess but it's not working and I am getting Error 404.

RewriteRule ^member/([a-zA-Z0-9_-]+)/([0-9]+)/?$ member.php?guid=$1

Look at your rule: ^member/([a-zA-Z0-9_-]+)/([0-9]+)/?$
How could member/abc123 match?
member/abc123/1/ would match.
By the way, if that's a private page (not for viewing by everyone), I'd suggest a POST instead of a GET.

Sometimes out of a strict deadline or laziness, I'll do something dumb/bad because it can be faster.

Simple Example (repeat offender):
I catch myself doing things like in a form to nudge that word over and be done with it.
Oh gawd what am I doing? Sigh | :sigh:

How often does this happen to everyone else? Please provide examples and maybe a good way to avoid this bad habit.

the & nbsp; was read as a literal space, I noticed. That would have helped, but yes and I am referring to web development (developing forms). If you don't know what it refers to, how can you say that it's in the wrong forum?
