That is exactly where I have it and I still get the gap at the top of my page. Anything else I could try??

Hi,
I have a WebPartPage with only one webpart. This webpart contains a ascx control which hosts a ajax enabled grid (very much of javscript).
The first load of this page (also if I load a other sharepoint page before) is very slow with the internet explorer (v6). The IE freezes for 2-3 minutes and then it displays the page. This effect only appears if you load the page the first time or clear the browser cache and load it again. With mozilla or opera it's fast.
Please help

How many rows in the grid? I don't think IE attempts to render tables until it's downloaded all the content. Does IE7 work ok?

only 20 rows. I can not test it with the IE7.
I have now gzip compression enabled in the IIS and yet is it much faster.

The former is clientside and the latter is serverside. User Interface and associated actions are part of former. Business Logic falls under the purview of latter.
I would first like you to understand the line of demarcation between the two before delving into an implementation.

Just learning about cookies, I created a test script and realized that if the url at the time the visitors cookie was set contained "www" (http:// www.mydomain.com) and at a later time they reaccessed the site WITHOUT the "www" (http://mydomain.com) then the cookie is not recognised because the domain is deemed different.
I googled without luck.
Anybody steer me straight please?

I think the path attribute of the cookies is the one which is playing the trick.

Seems a compact privacy policyis required for cookies to be anywhere close to reliable if a users browsers privacy setting is medium or higher.

Guys,
We have an embedded webbrowser in one of our applications running a javascript based web-application.
One of the buttons calls up a new IE window with a calendar control. In this popup you have to select "Allow blocked content" before being able to use the calendar. I've tried round about every option in every zone in Internet Explorer to stop this messagebar from showing, but unfortunately to no avail.
How can I prevent the message bar from showing? It's local, safe content and I should be able to add the registry setting at installation of our product... I'm guessing that this is because it actually opens a new IE instance because the embedded webbrowser is a webbrowser-control and not a real IE instance?

Hey thanks, I was already thinking about an option like that.
In meantime I figured a way to remove the message bar ("Mark of the web") but now it crashes on a object "Permission Denied"  .
I'll take this very much in consideration thanks. (I can't use aspx though, All is on local machine, with no IIS)

You can not. That would break or relax the web browser security warning.

How to upload .docx file using ASP?
When I use windows vista (Installed MS office 2007) using normal ASP code, it don't allow me to upload .docx file in sql server database to store in "Image" field.
Error comes with "OLEDB" restrictions.
The same code allows me with machine (OS Windows xp/vista) have lower version of MS Office 2000/2003/xp (not MS office 2007). And I am also not able to open it, because it stores the MIME type "application/x-zip-compressed"...and opens in ZIP format.
Please any one can help for this kind of problem.

I am getting this error with classic method using "ABCUPLOAD4" dll, however i am getting the data in "Image" type field of sql server database.
Error 1:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e21'
Multiple-step OLE DB operation generated errors. Check each OLE DB status value, if available. No work was done.

Hi all,
This is my first post here.
I have this question and hoped that some of you Gurus could help me in getting a solution.
I have this function (dhInicia_aux) that runs when the readyState == 'complete'.
As you can see it as a css.addrule, after doing the code i realized that what i really needed was to add an entire css file into the stylesheet object, instead of just making addRules 'ad eternum' any solution from you guys?
