QuestionLocal Network Problem Pin

hi all,

i am facing this problem recently. I am using Windows XP Professional.after my machine is booted, the local area network alone takes time (say 10 min) to load(dont know a better word) to appear in the system tray. in that 10 mintues duration, i am not able to do work on any environment.

I am not able to open a word/excel/pdf documents. When i open Visual Studio and run any application, it says binding handle is invalid.

When i contacted my administrator, he says there is virus in the machine and has to be formatted.
But after that initial 10 mints(i mean after the local area network is loaded) i am able to continue working as usual and i have no problems. And i scanned my machine for viruses.it says no virusD'Oh! | .

Could there be a possibility of spyware??

What could be the problem? has anyone faced this before?

I dont particularly like to format my machine.

Thanks in advance.Smile | :)

Regards

Anuradha
