As G.I. Joe would say: Knowing is half the battle.
That Rep page is mighty powerful. Kudos to Chris & Co. for providing it.

I would like to have my account deleted. I do not use this site, and would like to minimize the number of accounts I have on websites. Thank you.

Looks like the new (excellent) notification system is ignoring the comments to articles sometimes. A person posted a question and I was notified but a similar notification didn't show up from a general comment.
Do some message types get ignored?

Hi Mika,
Thanks for reporting. We do not ignore any message types on purpose. But of course, there can be bugs.
I am happy to dig in and fix the issue. Do you know the type of message on which you didn't got
the notification? This way it will be easier for me to nail down the problem.
Thanks in advance.
Sincerely,
Elina Blank

Thanks Mika,
This was helpful. Thank you.
The issue has been found and fixed.
It will be available after next site update (some time this week I think)

I tried to delete an article and this is the message that I saw: "The article "..." was successfully deleted." But I can still see it and all its contents. I want to remove it completely. Is it possible?
If it is not possible, I think it should be....
Thanks...

Can you post a link to the article?

According to the status that I see, it says it's been deleted. It's a shame as well because I was looking forward to reading this one tonight.

Unfortunately, it is not accepted and closed...
Yes, it is written "deleted" but all the contents are visible to me? Is it visible to you too? There should be a way to remove it completely.

Articles aren't fully deleted, partly because you may want to resurrect it in the future, so you can still see its contents. It's visible to me because of certain rights I have on the site - there's a reason I have a funny icon next to my name.
|
|
|
|
|
But I am sure I will not resurrect it. Mybe you have rights to do that? If so, can you remove it completely for me.
(And this is a humble suggestion, we should have rights to remove our own articles.)
Additionally if you don't like that funny icon, you can give it to me with the rights it provides to you

|
|
|
|
Try that. The article should have gone now.

Hi,
Not sure whether to report this or not, related to this threadhttp://www.codeproject.com/Lounge.aspx?msg=4360536#xx4360536xx[^]
The OP's account has been de-activated. When I took a look at it last night, he had 7 articles and a rep of 30,000, mostly based on his Author score. If this is due to people [understandably] reporting the message as spam, it might be worth taking a look at what happened & possibly re-instating. Just thought I'd give you a heads up.

I've reinstated the account. Thanks Keith.

Thanks, he doesn't seem used to the whole forum side of things so I doubt he'd have raised this himself.

Poor fellow got re-banned. The sad thing is his link is genuine. But people see his foreign (and Islamic) name and just vote him down.

That's a bit of a generalisation there, Nish.

I agree, although there is still some level of established history here on those lines.

He lives in the United States, Chris. We Yankees are full of generalizations.
