I have thought the same thing, on occasion and I feel their is some truth tho what you have pointed out. However, you can't set crazy limits as to what gets edited and what doesn't in relation to points.
Just go with the flow and don't make a big deal of it. The real purpose of this site is not about points or how you get them.

Well said. I'm surprised how long it took me to realise that - of course, I am a little bit dense.

I thought the whole idea of the site was to collect points?

It would seem that way, sometimes.

Yeah, but points and the rep system are a very important aspect of this site.

Very true. Very sad. It should not be.
I think most of us agree with this to an extent.

Well, I don't see why not. Chris uses it to allot moderator privileges and editing rights to high-rep members. It'll just make it way harder for him if we did not have a scoring system at all.

I'm not against a system that allows certain individuals to moderate/edit/delete.

If you take a look at the colors in the code below (not mine[^]) you see that it dosent pick up all the " signs. If you paste this code in C# in Visual Studio it does not complain about anything.
protected void Btn_Add_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
if (!Directory.Exists(Server.MapPath("~") + "\\Emp\\"))
{
Directory.CreateDirectory(Server.MapPath("~") + "\\Emp\\");
}
string imagepath = Server.MapPath("~") + "\\Emp\\" + TxtName.Text +".jpg";
string image_path = "\\Emp\\" + TxtName.Text + ".jpg";
AsyncFileUpload1.SaveAs(imagepath);
cs.Name = TxtName.Text;
cs.Image = "~/" + image_path;
cs.Add();
}
Is it fixable or?

I have encountered with this problem too. You can use only one "\" character inside a verbatim string literal until this problem is resolved. ("\Emp\" and @"\\Emp\\" are equals):
protected void Btn_Add_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
if (!Directory.Exists(Server.MapPath("~") + @"\Emp\"))
{
Directory.CreateDirectory(Server.MapPath("~") + @"\Emp\");
}
string imagepath = Server.MapPath("~") + @"\Emp\" + TxtName.Text +".jpg";
string image_path = @"\Emp\" + TxtName.Text + ".jpg";
AsyncFileUpload1.SaveAs(imagepath);
cs.Name = TxtName.Text;
cs.Image = "~/" + image_path;
cs.Add();
}

That would do it edit wise for now.

There's a bug in the colorizer that has to do with those double quotes. If you change it to single quotes it won't look like that. Try as we might, we have looked many times for a way to squash this bug, but have been unsuccessful.

How about displaying a member tool tip (Facebook style) to show quick info about hovered member name whenever it found , It mostly contains his/her avatar and some other info like reputation points ,etc..
That would be cool! right?

We can delete and edit our messages, this is good. But "Delete" and "Edit" links are appearing under deleted messages. Can you put a link that brings deleted messages back?
I deleted an answer and it was replaced with "Message Removed". I want to bring it back(when I click "Edit" I can see my original message) or to delete it completely. If you don't think to add this functionality can you bring my message back for me?
Thanks...

Would you care to give them a clue as to which one?

Hi,
Anyone here would think, there should be Profile View count as we have Article view count ?
Thanks
