I tried to add a form in the solution explorer but was unable to get it to open.

Luc, your answers are always quick but often not very deep or specific... and many times, they are downright glib. For instance, it's not very clear to me what "X" and "X8" are (I'm looking at ToString() now in the documentation, but you could have been much more helpful in identifying whether these were format providers, etc).
Take a look at the answers that are rated very highly in these forums. They are informative, sometimes deep. They can be very useful and educational without necessarily being deep or long.
This, of course, is just my opinion. It's nice to have a quick pointer come up immediately, but in all of the questions I've asked that you've answered (and you've answered them all ), yours is rarely the most useful answer.
It's good to know, though, that you are available in late hours

I am providing pointers and encouraging people to read the documentation, that is the
way to learn and become a professional. IMO spoon feeding is not that helpful.

I am creating a simple project with a ContexMenuStrip control (This previously was called a MainMenu control). When I select the ContexMenuStrip control, and look in the properties window in the events list, I can not find the popup event.
Has this been renamed also?

I don't think that is what I want.
I am doing a project in the Wrox Beginning visual C# book, and my project has a file menu which has: New, Open, Save, and Exit. I am putting code in the Popup event (this will be to see if a file exist. The file will be in the same directory as the project, but the first time the program is ran it is not there).
Anyway, when I run my project and click on Files, the menu pops open, so I guess I could put the code in the click event for the ContexMenuStrip control. The strange thing is that according to my book I should be able to highlight the ContexMenuStrip control, and then in the properties window, in the events list, I should be able to find the Popup event. I click the lightning bolt in the properties window and I do not see a Popup event. I am trying to follow the instructions in my book but this doesn't make sense?

Not quite. ContexMenuStrip is a new Control, it works slightly differently and has
different events. Good old MainMenu still exists, it is not obsolete, but it does not show
in the toolbox by default. You can add it by right clicking the toolbox pane, and
Choose Items. (Chances are you will have to repeat this when you reopen the project)
If you want to use ContextMenuStrip anyway you will have to adapt, and a more recent
C# (C# 2.0) book would be appropriate...

I tried to add Main menu to the toolbox before, but it was already there and showed up as the ContexMenuStrip. Now I tied it again and I see it three times in the list. One of these in the list is in a different directory and it is indeed the old control. I guess once you use it, it shows up different, (or maybe I missed it).
Different events for the newer control would explain allot. I will have to make the best of things until I get another book. I may just want to wait for Visual Studio 2008 which is supposed to be arriveing this month. I see they have a Wrox book out on this already, I really like the Wrox books.

Hello Developers,
I am trying to plot a sine wave graph and i want it to perform phase shift, frequency shift and amplitude shift. But i have no idea how can i achieve that. I have gone through ZedGraph tutorial and it just tells you how to plot a wave and thats it. But how to change its frequency, phase, amplitude during in time.
Is there any better tool other than ZedGraph for the same purpose or is it possible to do this using ZedGraph only...

Hi,
For starters I have never used ZedGraph. I do have some experience with several older
plotting components (pre-.NET!)
plotting libraries create a plot starting from either a table of (x,y) pairs, or
a method that evaluates y(x) for any given x within a user-specified range.
Assuming you managed to plot a sine wave, the only thing you must do now is apply
"phase shift, frequency shift and amplitude shift" to the data/method you feed into the
plotter. If you know what these things are, it is easy; if not, you should study your
material before trying to plot the results.
And I guess you would also want to show several curves at once to visualize the net
effect of all those shifts. That too is simple, every plotting library supports a
superposition of graphs (with shared or distinct scales, you'll want them shared).
