I'm updating a little utility for changing your desktop wallpaper and would like to post an article about it here on CP. However, there's one little problem: it crashes on windows98 every time you close the app.
So, I was wondering if you all could help me out and maybe tell me what you think is wrong with this stupid thing. Here is a download of the project: WallPaperQ[^].
BTW, I'm getting an unusual exit code (136) and I have no clue what it means other than the criptic Microsoft explanation.

FYI: It resides in the system tray, uses GDI+ and was written in VC7. That should be enough info for you to figure out how to build/run it.

I have Win98 here on my home PC, so maybe I'm well equipped to help you. I can try. However, I only have VC++ 6.0, could you be bothered to make the transition, or will I have to do that myself? (A little lazy  )

Here's my customary "plea for feedback" to check bttlxeForum is heading down the right track. for those that don't know, bttlxeForum is a free time project I've been working on for the past year now that takes Chris and Uwe's CodeProject forums and makes them into a fully featured standalone forum solution with all of the features you'd expect them to have.
Since the last time I asked for feedback there have been quite a few major changes to the software, more significantly: private messaging, user groups and group permissions, enhanced forum categories, real-time stats, and a handful of new forum view types (dynamic memory, threaded, threaded expanded and threaded dynamic).
Thanks to all of the CPians who have helped with ideas, suggestions and testing in the past and to the people[^] all around the globe who have been working with me for the past two months by testing every aspect of the forums to death and back. I'm not looking for more people to enter the beta test now, unless you want to, but I would appreciate it if you could spare a few minutes and head on over to the forums, give it a look over, and tell me[^] if you have any ideas or suggestions.
