Spam mail is an issue for everyone but when you are the provider of the email account, it is up to you to figure out how to block that unwanted content from reaching the user's inbox. For Microsoft, this is an ongoing challenge as they host millions of email accounts between Hotmail and Outlook which means that if they miss one type of spam message, it will impact millions of users. Well, that's my Inbox clean. Sorry about yours.

NPR used data from the American Community Survey to create a graph of the 10 most popular jobs in each income bracket. Software development and IT remain common jobs among those in the higher brackets, although not the topmost one. "Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash"

Look at the $58-72 bracket; that's senior developers in large non-profits. 
The study is looking at what people are most likely to do for a living in each income bracket; not the average salary for a given job title. If you choose to work in a low pay segment of your industry you just fall off the bottom of the chart without impacting where the rest of us stand.
Now if they could just export those >$100k/year salaries out of places where even $100k/year is a poverty wage.

It's an interesting strategy. After all, why wait for someone else to start competing? If you can create the competition yourself, it really doesn't leave much room for anyone else, and yet receive all the revenue.
Of course, you can shoot yourself in the foot, but like cereal companies (that figured out years ago it's best to have multiple products competing against each other) it would be amusing if this becomes the new business model of the 21st century. I imagine there will be several books about "SCBM" - Self Competition Business Model coming to Kindle soon.
Sounds sort of kinky, doesn't it?
