The "bug density graph" (how did they came up with it btw?) seems wrong... How did they came up with it?

Rectal extraction. D'Oh! | It's sourced in the original Medidumb[^] article:

Quote:
The following are some charts that compare the number of issues labelled "bug" versus the number of repositories in GitHub for different languages. I also tried removing some noise by just using repositories with some stars, on the assumption that repositories with no stars means that nobody is using them, so nobody will report bugs against them.

IOW it treats a the number of bugs in a 100 line repo and a 100,000,000 line repo as equal. WTF | :WTF:

While it's true that some languages need more lines of code than others to express the same thing; the difference between languages where a 10 line chuck of code (left pad anyone OMG | :OMG: WTF | :WTF: D'Oh! | Shucks | :-\ ) is considered a reasonable repo; and ones where a sane minimum size repo is a major application or library is far larger.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

Training a telescope on one’s own belly button will only reveal lint. You like that? You go right on staring at it. I prefer looking at galaxies.
