Knowingly also includes those with an aptitude for willful ignorance ...

In general I agree, but what is illegal and/or immoral greatly varies from one place to another.

When I release a code, I want people to use it. Why put some barriers? Who sees if one uses my code for what purpose? World is huge. I use many existing codes, so does every one else. When making it public, keep people away from worries.
I say COPL rocks. gives a free and unrestricted use, protects the publisher, saves time in understanding. In fact I have released some of my non CP code and resources with COPL license.

I think you mean CPOL (CodeProject Open License)!

I have to say..immoral use really peaked my interest. I suddenly want to publish some code for good immoral use.

You need the General Profligate and Licentious (GPL) license or the simpler Morally Impure Technology (MIT) license.

It's quite fun. I worked for many years in a certain industry writing software for tracking cash transactions, reporting earnings, and interfacing to various hardware such as bill acceptors, point-of-sale devices, etc.

Some licenses are hard to understand and way too long-winded. (That why I like BSD - only takes 5 min to read and understand it)

Some of us never release code under licence! Articles on CP don't count, just accept the default.
