I was Windows user for over 15 years and then recently moved to Mac, even for .net development. Simply because I wanted to have my hands on both the OS.

Someone edited the survey. It originally asked for the platform on which you developed your apps (regardless of their target).

I develop on the OS that my employer has me develop on. Currently and in the past it has been Windows. Just once I'd like to try my hand at Linux.

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?

Everything's moving to web-based applications.
So any O/S with a reasonably compliant browser works for me.

In the past I mainly developed for Windows as I worked on custom software and all the customers were Windows based - even the embedded SW for the automatic inspection machines was actually running Windows, and it was "real time"!

Only 3 people who answered "Other" are missing it so far
Besides, isn't Android and iOS development done on Windows, Mac or Linux?
The question is ON which OS, not FOR which OS...
Although, with that logic, any embedded OS probably doesn't make much sense either
I also read the question wrong. And it is a pretty big difference in answer.
My plan is to live forever ... so far so good

The question clearly targets "on what OS the creations can operate on" - so it's "FOR which OS", not "ON which OS"
The question is ON, the description is FOR...
The big fat question is literally: "On which operating systems are you developing code?"
The small letters beneath it says "What OS can your creations operate on?"
So it asks both.
The answer is unclear.

The majority of members here target and work with the Windows platform. Not surprised most of the answers will be "Windows".
Are we surprised? nah...
