Which user you use for the connection to the linked server?
It is also possible that your local DB user doesn't have permissions in the linked server.

I don't know what you have in the canvas class but your code work great with PictureBox. i copy your code and only changed canvas on the first line to PictureBox and it works. if you need more help you will need to add the canvas class.

First, you have foreign keys and it means that you can not delete from the 2 tables if you use there value in any other rows in the main table.
Second, from your code it looks like you are deleting only from one table. where is the code to delete from the other 2.
