Well as i said its true.i removed the toolkit reference but the problem did not go! Then i commented many controls under a panel and now vs not hangs in split mode but when i save it takes say almost 1 minute.so it seems vs hangs if there are too many controls! In page

i tested locally referencing dlls from netoffice.look like works well.will the users of my site be able to create and download excel file in their computers on what version they have? i think netoffice supports office version up to 2010 what if there is a latest version of office comes and user have that version instead previou version?

@mark simple in is not postback condition i gets fields values according to bidid from database and populate appropriate textboxes and other controls.guess it when i come first time to edit page i see latest but after i edit and come to the edit page again i do not see latest! Just cant catch

SAK why i try to keep height according to content is that viewers can get to see whole content.so it should not be ur headache.see a example dnn module - (link deleted for some reason).so always try to give solution not trying to know too much detail on it.i wanted to know the solution what i wrote.

keep in mind this is dnn module so i place it many pages and the width of the textbox varies in contentpane.so i used percentage to fit the textbox width(so the characters in one line also varies).what i want is to make height of my textbox according to content

U did not get wat i meant.already set to multiline.height will not be fixed it will grow according to content.if i set height according to lines(by splitting with \n in code behind file) in textbox then if there are lines which users typed without pressing enter then for those lines scroll bar will appear.i dont want that

if you know dotnetnuke content management system.there are modules for dotnetnuke.a module is a separate asp.net project.if i use ajaxcontroltoolkit assembly by referencing it in my module ascx page then when module installed the assembly is placed in the dotnetnuke site's bin folder to use.so if accidently another module is installed with different ajaxcontroltoolkit version then the assembly will be replaced with later version.so my first module ajaxcontroltoolkit functionality will not work.so if there is any technique to use the assembly in page by referencing it from a location then i will not let it place in bin folder.look my page codes in the reply below-

I know well how to do fade in by jquery but dont know how to pass datalist controls items selected index when clicked and show the details in popup box using jquery

The thing is i used ajaxstart and ajax complete which is responsible for showing a progress image while datalist item detail retrieved when item clicked.sorry that i did not include these jquery ajax code lines with my question.
