This article can tell me how to set an icon for a particular file type. What i want is to get sort of a thumbnail based on the file contents in addition to setting the file type icon. For Eg: PDF file thumbnails by installing adobe reader

Thanks for this link. I've been searching for this too. But what i want to do currently is:-
1. Set an icon for a particular extention (with the above solution i would be able to do that).
2. When switching to thumbnail view, show a thumbnail in windows explorer that i'll generate programatically (THIS I NEED HELP WITH)
